Lysa TerKeurst Reups with Nelson
Brian Hampton, senior v-p and publisher of Nelson Books, acquired world rights to It's Not Supposed to Be This Way: Finding Unexpected Strength When Disappointments Leave You Shattered directly from the author, Lysa TerKeurst (Uninvited, The Best Yes). Slated for publication this November 13, the book explores doubts about God when it comes to unmet expectations and other painful situations, according to the publisher.
Paraclete Signs a Double
Paraclete Press’ Jon Sweeney took world rights to two children’s books by Lisa M. Hendey, the founder of Catholicmom.com and editor-at-large for Ave Maria Press. The first book in the deal, I Am God’s Storyteller, follows biblical characters such as Moses and John the Baptist who used storytelling to teach, according to the publisher. It’s slated for publication in early 2019. The second untitled book is expected to hit shelves in 2020. Illustrators for both books are to be announced, and Hendey didn't use an agent.
