Sounds True Finds Some Rest
Sounds True’s Haven Iverson took world rights directly from Rod Stryker to his new book, Enlightened Sleep, which is slated for publication in July 2020. Stryker, the founder of the online yoga training program ParaYoga, focuses on the practice of yoga nidra—a meditation technique also known as yogic sleep—in order to help readers move from sleeplessness to deep sleep, according to the publisher.
Zondervan Lands Fitness Blogger’s Debut
In a world rights deal, Zondervan’s Stephanie Smith bought Food, Faith, Fitness by blogger Taylor Kiser, slated for publication in June 2020. The book features recipes, work out plans, and tips for “living a balanced life with Christ at the center,” according to the publisher. Lisa Jackson at the Alive Literary Agency represented Kiser in the deal.
Brazos Embraces ‘Exiles’
In a world rights deal brokered directly with the author, Brazos Press editor Katelyn Beaty bought Exiles on Main Street: Thriving on the Margins of Post-Christian Cultures by Paul S. Williams. Scheduled for publication in spring 2020, the book “invites readers to embrace the language of exile and imagine a hopeful mission of the scattered church in the post-Christian West,” according to the publisher.
‘Help’ is on the Way at Kregel
Catherine DeVries, publisher of Kregel Publications, bought world rights from agent Blythe Daniel of the Blythe Daniel Agency, Inc. to the tentatively titled Help Me Answer My Kids’ God Questions by Janelle Alberts and Ingrid Faro, Ph. D. The book, which is slated for publication in fall 2020, provides parents with answers intended to “deepen knowledge and understanding” about God, the Bible, and more, according to the agent.
