HarperCollins Christian Publishing's (HCCP) Zondervan division has launched a new imprint, Thrive, which will focus on nonfiction titles in categories including personal development, health and wellness, self-care, and marriage and family.
The imprint is an extension of the Zondervan Books team and will be overseen by David Morris, v-p and publisher of Zondervan. Morris cited too many self-help books that lack a faith perspective and too few Christian books that offer specialized help as the reason behind its launch. "Zondervan Thrive is our latest venture in visionary publishing, as we respond to the needs of today’s readers by closing the gap between practical and spiritual knowledge," he said in a statement.
Inaugural Zondervan Thrive titles, which are slated for publication starting in March 2020, include The Enneagram of Belonging by Christopher L. Heuertz, The Age of AI by Jason Thacker, and The 6 Needs of Every Child by Amy Elizabeth Olrick and Jeffrey Olrick. The imprint plans to release four titles in 2020, followed by approximately 10 titles each year after that.
