Francine Rivers Reups with Tyndale
Tyndale House fiction publisher Karen Watson acquired world English, world Spanish, and audio rights from Danielle Egan-Miller of Browne & Miller Literary Associates to The Disinherited, the next novel by bestselling author Francine Rivers (The Masterpiece). The romance is set in 1870s California and follows a suffragette and newspaper publisher who forms a complicated relationship with a former Union soldier from a Southern family. The book is slated for publication in 2022.
Bunmi Laditan Lands at Zondervan
Executive editor at Zondervan Carolyn McCready took world rights from Holly Bemiss of the Susan Rabiner Literary Agency to a new book by novelist and social media star Bunmi Laditan (Confessions of a Domestic Failure). The new book—Dear God: Honest Prayers to a God Who Listens—features a collection of letters written by Laditan to God while praying and wrestling with her faith, as well as poems and prayers. It’s slated for publication in January 2021.
Beck Charms Fortress a Second Time
Emily Brower, acquisition editor at Fortress Press, took world rights directly from Richard Beck, the author of Trains, Jesus, and Murder (Fortress, 2019) to Enchanting Faith. The book explores ways to experience God with a sense of wonder in a secular age, according to the publisher. Publication is scheduled for fall 2020.
