Tim Keller Moves to Zondervan
Zondervan’s v-p and publisher Webster Younce bought North American rights from David McCormick of McCormick Literary to four books by founder of New York City’s Redeemer Presbyterian Church, pastor, and bestselling author Timothy Keller. While details about the subject matter of the books and publication dates have not been finalized, the first title in the deal is expected to be released in 2024. In a statement announcing the deal, Younce cited Keller’s influence on Christian thought as well as the author’s “personal humility and heart for people.” Younce continued, “We are delighted to be partnering with him in reaching both the church and the wider world with resources that equip readers to know God more deeply and live in service to others in light of that knowledge.”

Publication is slated for spring 2025.
A Call to Christians from Brazos
Katelyn Beaty, editorial director at Brazos Press, acquired world rights for the unagented Children of Mammon by Malcolm Foley, scheduled for publication in spring 2025. The book explores “Christians' complicity in racialized violence and greed, calling kingdom-oriented Christians to resist violence and exploitation, both within their communities and outside of them,” according to the publisher. Foley is a historian, professor, and director of the Black church studies program at Truett Theological Seminary who is also a special adviser to the president for equity and campus engagement at Baylor University.
IVP Kids Takes Care of Creation
IVP Kids acquiring editor Elissa Schauer took world rights directly from author Sandra Richter (Stewards of Eden) for I Love Saturdays! The picture book for ages 4-8 tells of the Steward family’s weekend hikes. Creeking, salamanders, a waterfall, deer, and other discoveries create the opportunity for youngsters to hear a biblical rationale for creation care. The title is slated for publication in fall 2024.
Lake Drive Thinks ‘Bigger’
David Morris, publisher of Lake Drive Books, bought world rights directly from Trey Ferguson to Theologizin’ Bigger, scheduled for publication in February 2024. A Florida-based pastor and theologian, Ferguson is also host of the podcasts New Living Treyslation, which uses modern vernacular to tell stories from the Bible, and Three Black Men, which covers theology and culture. His upcoming book encourages readers to “theologize” bigger—to think outside theological comfort zones and lean into the mystery that is God, according to the publisher.
