Broadleaf Nabs an Enneagram Expert
Broadleaf Books acquisitions editor Lisa Kloskin bought world rights from Ingrid Beck of the Bindery to A Kinder Spirituality by Hunter Mobley. The book is a “contemplative approach to spiritual growth,” according to the publisher, and it draws on the Enneagram—a personality typing system with roots in ancient religions. Mobley is an Enneagram teacher at bestselling Enneagram authors’ Suzanne and Joe Stabile’s teaching center, The Micah Center, in Dallas. Publication is slated for spring 2025.
Schroeder, McCarthy Ink Two Deals for IVP
Dave Schroeder of WTA Media LLC brokered a world-rights deal with Ethan McCarthy, associate editor at IVP, for the tentatively titled At the Feet of Jesus: Praying with Mary of Bethany by Bruce and Carolyn Hindmarsh. The authors—who teach the history of Christianity and New Testament Greek at Regent College in Vancouver, respectively—draw on their shared experiences as retreat leaders in the book, which provides prayers centering on and inspired by the Bible’s Mary of Bethany. It is slated for publication in fall 2024.
In a second world-rights deal between McCarthy and Schroeder, the tentatively titled Pass It On: Helping Your Child Know, Live, and Love Like Jesus by Brian Dembowczyk is slated for publication in fall 2024. Dembowczyk, adjunct professor in children/family ministry at Lancaster Bible College/Capital Seminary and associate publisher for Thomas Nelson Bibles, aims to help families “develop a better discipleship plan for their children,” according to the publisher.
