The American Christian Fiction Writers has announced that Deborah Raney has been named the 2024 ACFW Lifetime Achievement Recipient. The award will be presented during the American Christian Fiction Writers Conference, which runs September 5-8 in New Orleans.

Raney is probably best known for her first novel, A Vow to Cherish, the inspiration for the award-winning film of the same name. In all she has written some 40 books, with the third book in her new Chandler Sisters Novels series released from Kregel Publishing in Fall 2020 her first Deb's self-published books, Bridges and Breath of Heaven were recently released from Raney Day Press. Over her career, her books have novels have won the numerous awards, including RWAs, the RITA Award, the ACFW Carol Award, the National Readers’ Choice Award, and the HOLT Medallion. She is also a three-time Christy Award finalist.

The American Christian Fiction Writers conference brings together hundreds of veteran and aspiring authors annually to share insights into the craft the publishing industry professionals, and to network with fellow writers, agents, and editors. The event will kick off with an opening keynote by Tosca Lee, the New York Times bestselling author of twelve novels including The Line Between, The Progeny, The Legend of Sheba, Iscariot, and The Long March Home (written with Marcus Brotherton).
