Broadleaf Takes Second by Creative Coach

Editor Lisa Kloskin at Broadleaf Books has acquired world rights to a second book, Art Is How God Loves Us, from oboist, creative coach, and host of the "Artists for Joy" podcast, Merideth Hite Estevez, (The Artist’s Joy). The book is an invitation for artists and art appreciators to experience art as a spiritual doorway. Don Pape at Pape Commons represented the author. The book is planned for spring 2026.

African American Spiritual Practices to IVP

IVP associate editor Nilwona Nowlin has signed a world rights deal with Aisha Michelle Davis, who is unagented, for her tentatively title Soul Formation. according to the publisher. According to the publisher, the book explores spiritual practices deeply rooted in the African American experience. Davis, who is an expert in spiritual formation and theology, bridges the gap between historical practices and contemporary spiritual needs. Release is set for fall 2026.

Sleep Happy to Brazos

Brazos Press editorial director Katelyn Beaty has acquired world rights to the tentatively titled Sleep Happy by Ken Wytsma, founder of the Justice Conference and author of The Myth of Equality. Wytsma looks into cultural history, personal stories, and cutting-edge science to explore the importance of sleep in pursuit of virtue, self-knowledge and peace. The unagented author’s own sleep difficulties play a part as well. The book is set for a spring 2026 release.

Tyndale Saddles Up Equine Memoir

Tyndale v-p Sarah Atkinson has acquired world rights to Against All Darkness by Haylee Graham. An indie filmmaker and equestrian, Graham recalls her tumultuous teen years with her horse Cartier by her side, which turned into a flight for their lives in this memoir that centers on God's faithfulness. Brokered by agent Emma Fulenwider at WordServe Literary, the book is due to release in spring 2026.

Whitaker House Takes Business Owner, Mother

Whitaker House acquiring editor Amy Bartlett has taken world rights for the tentatively titled When Mothering Is Hard and No One Sees by Shalene Roberts, a business owner who has been featured in Magnolia Market, seen on HGTV, and blogs at “Faith And Composition.” The book will inspire moms to “see their irreplaceable worth in the kingdom” and “stand firm on biblical truth in the face of changing cultural tides and raise children who have a heart to do the same,” according to the publisher. The author is represented by Blythe Daniel of The Blythe Daniel Agency. The book will release in March 2026.

Women’s Devotional to Our Daily Bread

Author Rachael Adams has signed with Our Daily Bread Publishing for the tentatively titled Good Morning, God & Good Night, God: 90 Devotions to Deepen Your Relationship with God, as part of the ODB line God Hears Her. Dawn Anderson, executive editor, acquired world rights from Blythe Daniel of the Blythe Daniel Agency. Adams hosts The Love Offering Podcast and is the author of A Little Goes a Long Way and Everyday Prayers for Love. The new devotional, releasing in April 2026, invites women to start their mornings with purposeful focus and end their nights with gratitude.

Paraclete Signs Picture Book

Editor Lillian Miao at Paraclete Press has acquired world rights to Pumpkin Day for Boo and Belle by Laura Sassi, illustrated by Farah Shah. When Boo’s invitation to Belle’s Annual Pumpkin Tea gets snatched by the wind, misunderstanding and disappointment ensue. With rhyming text, this picture book (for ages 4-8) is about forgiveness and gratitude and celebrates the joy that comes when friends work through the storms that are a natural part of a friendship, according to the publisher. Publication is slated for summer 2025. Charlotte Wenger at Prospect Agency represented Sassi, and Shah represented herself.

Zondervan Reflective Takes Creative SPARK

Tom Dean of A Drop of Ink has sold world rights to Ryan Pazdur, at Zondervan Reflective to the tentatively titled SPARK by Al Gordon, a UK-based pastor who has worked with artists including Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and John Pawson. SPARK offers a biblical and practical framework for igniting creativity, what the author calls “a gift from God that we can discover …and ignite the full potential of our divine calling to create.” A spring 2026 release is planned.

Baker Academic Signs Essays on Evangelicalism

Baker Academic executive editor Robert Hosack has acquired world rights to Strange: Footnotes from the Margins of American Evangelicalism, edited by Blake Victor Kent, a sociologist of religion and health. Contributions from a wide array of people on the evangelical spectrum challenge white evangelical insiders to hear the voices of people pushed to the edge of evangelical institutions, churches and conversations, according to the publisher. Spring 2026 is the planned release.

Recovery Support to Nelson

Trinity McFadden of The Bindery has negotiated a world-rights deals with Nelson Books acquiring editor Brigitta Nortker for Caroline Beidler’s tentatively titled When the Light Comes Back: Understanding Addiction Recovery and How to Support Your Loved One. The author discusses four pillars of recovery—hope, wellness, community, service—and shares evidence-based information, stories, and practical ways to talk to family and friends about recovery. It also helps loved ones support that person in recovery. The book will be published in 2026.
