Devotional Added to David C Cook List

Natalie Runion, worship leader, speaker, and bestselling author of Raised to Stay and The House that Jesus Built, has signed a two-book deal to continue her partnership with David C Cook. Keely Boeving of WordServe Literary sold rights to senior acquisitions editor Susan McPherson for the Raised to Stay Devotional that will take readers on a 40-day healing journey; and a second, untitled trade book. The books are scheduled to release in 2026 and 2027.

Two titles for IVP's Cindy Bunch

Cindy Bunch, InterVarsity’s VP for editorial, has taken world rights to the tentatively titled Spiritual Antidotes to Nine Deadly Sins by Christopher A. Hall, with no agent. Hall takes each chapter to focus on one vice and its corresponding virtue in this Christian living title. He is a member of the Renovaré Ministry Team and from 2015 to 2022 served as president of Renovaré, which publishes resources for spiritual formation. Release is scheduled for winter 2026.

Bunch has also signed a world rights contract with the unagented Bobbie Schaeperkoetter for the tentatively titled Everyday Life with God. The author offers readers a framework for a flexible and transformational daily spiritual practice designed to help them live in a deeper relationship with God. She is pastor of spiritual formation and discipleship at Capital City Christian Church in Missouri and a spiritual director. The book will release in summer 2026.

Schiess’ Next Book to Brazos

Brazos Press editorial director Katelyn Beaty has taken world rights to the next book by Kaitlyn Schiess, which is as yet untitled and will address Christian faith and contemporary culture. Schiess (The Ballot and the Bible) is one of three regular cohosts of the Holy Post podcast and the solo podcast with the Holy Post titled “Curiously Kaitlin,” which debuted at #1 in the Apple Religion and Spirituality category. Don Gates of The Gates Group represented the author for the fall 2027 release.

Art, Women Come Together in New Book

Elissa Yukiko Weichbrodt (Redeeming Vision) has signed a world rights deal with Bob Hosack, executive editor at Brazos Press, for Looks Like a Lady. The unagented author examines how female self-perception has been shaped by historical images, as well as speaks into how visual culture has impacted ideas of gender in contemporary culture and American evangelicalism. The book, by the associate professor of art and art history at Covenant College in Georgia, is scheduled to release in summer 2026.

Whitaker Signs Study of Holy Spirit

Alec Smart of Nappaland Literary Agency has inked a world rights deal with Whitaker House Publishing’s Chip MacGregor for Nappaland founder Mike Nappa’s The Christian Life is Not as Hard as You’re Making It, which is scheduled for release in October 2025. Nappa (Reflections for the Grieving Soul) draws on a study of 246 references to the Holy Spirit in the New Testament to reveal what God’s Spirit actually does in and through each of our lives.
