If I didn’t love crowdfunding before this book, I definitely would have loved it after. It’s so cool that fans are able to help bring new media to life that more traditional outlets can’t or won’t. Fairy Quest appeared on Kickstarter in 2012 and I pledged for a copy. It seemed like a great story and as I said, I like crowdfunding things. When I got the book, I was amazed. It. Was. Gorgeous. The colors pop off the page, the art could go from fun to scary in just one panel, and the story was a unique take on the fairytale genre, which I can’t get enough of. Everyone I’ve let borrow (i.e. forced to take) Fairy Quest has loved it, from my friends and family, to little kids I’ve babysat. When Fairy Quest Vol. 2 was Kickstarted, I immediately pledged again. I just got the second volume last weekend and it’s just as amazing as the first. My only problem is that I want more! If you like fairytales, this is a must have for your bookshelf.
