The Independent Book Publishers Association has opened registration for its 27th annual Publishing University, to be held April 10-11, 2015 at the Sheraton Austin Hotel in Austin, Tex. A two-day, networking and educational event, Publishing University focuses specifically on issues important to indie publishers and self-published authors.

Publishing University 2015 will delve into topics ranging from pre-publication marketing, to opportunities within hybrid publishing, building an author platform, to working with independent bookstores. It will include roughly 30 breakout sessions.

“For 27 years, Publishing University has drawn expert instructors working at the top of their publishing game,” said IBPA executive director Angela Bole. “Their collective expertise challenges attendees to make the most of their publishing programs.”
