Reed Exhibitions has announced the panel that will kick off this year’s BookExpo, which is set for May 29-31 at New York City’s Javits Center. “BookExpo’s Leadership Roundtable: Storytelling in 2020 and Beyond” will be held Wednesday, May 29 at the Javits Main Stage. The panel will begin at 11 a.m., an hour before the exhibit floor opens.
In its description of the roundtable, Reed said the panelists will address how authors, publishers, bookstores and studios can develop stories that can compete with the many choices consumers have in today’s entertainment and information markets.
The panel will be moderated by Genevieve Smith, features director of New York magazine, and will feature Dominique Raccah, publisher and CEO, Sourcebooks; Kim Sayle, v-p, associate publisher, Hachette Audio; and Jacqueline Woodson, author of Red at the Bone.
