On Wednesday, May 29, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Librarians' Lounge (booth 557) get your 2019 BookExpo experience rolling with one of the show's first multi-author meet-and-greets, featuring Vesuvian Books. Scheduled to be on hand:
Christine Brae, Chief Financial Officer at ad giant Leo Burnett as well as a top-selling women's fiction writer, will be on hand signing copies of her upcoming book The Year I left, billed as “the story of a woman’s loss of self and purpose and the journey she takes to find her way back.”
Stu Jones and Gareth Worthington will be on hand signing copies of In the Shadow of a Valiant Moon, book two in their IPPY Award-winning 'It Takes Death To Reach A Star' sci-fi duology. Jones’s blistering action scenes draw on his background as a SWAT team leader, while Worthington is a trained marine biologist, with a doctorate in comparative endocrinology.
Mary Ting will be signing copies of her forthcoming book Helix, the second installment in her Ben Franklin Award-winning 'ISAN–International Sensory Assassin Network' series, a YA sci-fi story now in development for a feature film.
Alexandrea Weis will be signing her new historical novel Realm, based on the story of the 16 year-old Persian wife of Alexander the Great. Weis brings to BookExpo one of the most fascinating resumes of any author you’ll meet this week—in addition to writing more than 25 novels spanning a range of genres, she’s also a screenwriter, ICU nurse, historian, and a certified wildlife rehabber who rescues orphaned and injured animals. She was born and raised in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
In addition, ARCs will be available for The Night Weaver by Monique Snyman and Speak No Evil by Liana Gardner.
Wednesday, May 29, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Publishers Weekly BookExpo Librarians’ Lounge (Booth 557).
