This is not, strictly speaking, a deal story, but surely an augury of many deals to come. Suzanne Gluck, a top agent at International Creative Management (ICM) has decided to move over to the William Morris Agency, where she will join an old friend, Jennifer Rudolph Walsh (herself a new arrival there) in leading that agency's literary department. The move was another sign of new dynamism at WMA, which was rattled last fall by two major defections: author Tom Clancy and senior agent and board member Robert Gottlieb, who took a number of clients and other agents with him to his Trident Media Group. Like Walsh, Gluck will take to WMA her stellar client list, which includes Caleb Carr, John Berendt, James van Praagh, Kurt Anderson and Jeanette Winterson, among many others.
