After holding the event in March for the past five years, organizers of the Independent and Small Press Book Fair are moving the event to December in hopes of attracting a larger audience of book lovers. Anne Garrett, director of the book fair, told PW that the switch is an effort "to take advantage of the holiday shopping period." Garrett also said that this year's fair, which will take place December 4—5, will feature more author and publisher events

Events include a conversation with New York Times Book Review editor Sam Tanenhaus; a panel on starting a small press or magazine with Sarah Gorham, editor-in-chief of Sarabande Books; and a discussion with cartoonist David Rees, author of Get Your War On.

This year's fair will be held at 20 W. 44th St. in New York City. Admission is free. For more information, call (212) 764-7021 or visit www.smallpress.org.
