    Rachel Maddow, author of Drift (Crown, 978-0307460981), will be on The Daily Show.

    Ian K. Smith, author of Shred (St. Martin's, 978-1250035868), will be on Live with Kelly and Michael on March 1.

  • Job Moves: February 28, 2013

    Bob Campbell will retire as senior publisher at Wiley. He has been in publishing for 44 years.

    Catherine Burke has been promoted to publisher, Sphere Fiction at Little, Brown, effective immediately. She has been with the company for three years.

    Michael Perlman has been promoted to v-p, director, client sales & services at Simon & Schuster. He joined S&S in 2005 as national accounts manager for Sam's Club and BJ's.

    At Penguin, Suzie Sisoler has been promoted to senior director of consumer engagement, and will oversee the consumer engagement group formerly known as the online consumer sales and marketing group.

    Mary Wilcox has been promoted to the newly-created position of v-p and editor in chief of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers.

    At Penguin, Katherine Tiernan McCahill has been promoted to assistant director of the digital products group. She joined Penguin as online development manager in July 2008.

    At February Partners, Hillary Pearson is now publicist. She was previously with Lenox Hill Hospital. Abby Rogers is now online marketing manager. Previously, she was with Business Insider.

  • Michele Martin Named V-P and Associate Publisher at Gallery

    Michele Martin will join Gallery Books Group as v-p and associate publisher, reporting to Louise Burke March 4.

    At Charlesbridge Publishing, Megan Quinn has added subrights manager to her list of duties. She is also the sales manager of the school and library market as well as handling the subsidiary rights market. Alyssa Mito Pusey has been promoted to senior editor from editor. Julie Ham will be adding the title of contracts coordinator to her existing duties of associate editor. Donna Spurlock has been promoted to director of marketing from associate director of marketing.

    Amy Tannenbaum has joined the Jane Rotrosen Agency as a literary agent. She was previously an editor with Atria Books.

    At Random House, Avideh Bashirrad has assumed the newly created position of v-p, associate publisher for the Random House/Dial Press fiction list, reporting to Susan Kamil. Also at Random House, Leigh Marchant is now director of marketing for Random House, Spiegel & Grau, Dial Press, and the Modern Library. She joined the company in 2010.

    Amanda Ridout will leave her position as managing director at Phaidon Press to pursue personal projects. She has been with the company for two years.

  • Greco Named CEO of Carson-Dellosa

    Al Greco has been appointed CEO of Carson-Dellosa Publishing, the Greensboro, N.C.--based publisher of supplemental materials for elementary and middle school teachers and parents, succeeding Judy Harris.
