Jennifer Romanello, who left her publicity job at Hachette in June 2012, has been named v-p, director of publicity at Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing.
Romanello, who had been v-p and executive director of publicity at Hachette's Grand Central division, has been running her own public relations firm since she left the publisher. She worked at Hachette for 17 years, starting when the company was under the ownership of Time Warner and known as Warner Books. At Warner/Hachette she worked with such authors as Nicholas Sparks, Nelson DeMille, Sandra Brown, Amy Sedaris and David Baldacci.
Romanello will start at S&S on August 20. She succeeds Paul Crichton, who left the company in June.
