Job Moves: July 24, 2013
Jen Reynolds will join Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as national accounts manager on August 5. She most recently handled Midwest field sales for PGW/Perseus/Perseus Distribution. Morgan Gould has been promoted to national accounts manager and distribution client sales manager, also effective August 5.
Laura Pennock will be joining Candlewick Press on August 5 as director of mass market sales.
The Crown Publishing Group has announced the creation of a full community development team under the leadership of Kate Rados, director, community development. Chris Sigfrids has been appointed to the newly-created position of senior manager, community operations. Matt Unhjem has been promoted to web developer for the Crown communities, moving over from the ad/promo department. Alana Buckbee joins in the role of social media manager.
At Penguin Books, Emily Murdock Baker has been promoted to associate editor. She has been at Penguin since 2009.

Kate Tyler has been named v-p, director of publicity, for the Clarkson Potter family of imprints. The appointments take effect immediately and each will continue to report to Carisa Hays.

Farrar, Straus and Giroux has announced that Frances Foster, who has headed up Frances Foster Books since 1994 and has worked in children's publishing for over 55 years, is retiring after a long illness.
