Book Boom
Different reports released by Bowker last week showed that the self-publishing craze is leading to an upsurge in the number of new titles available to the general public. In a meeting at Macmillan’s headquarters in the Flatiron Building last month, the two men discussed how, after reviewing reams of information that sometimes produce conflicting recommendations, they set a goal of reducing the company’s carbon footprint by 65% by 2019 from a 2009 baseline.
